Confessional | Short Film Script | 5 pages — An awkward encounter in a dance club bathroom shifts into a moment of connection.

Missed Connections / Red Head at the House of Needles | Short Story published in Drunk Monkeys | 800 words —  A man longs to reconnect with a women he saw in a tattoo parlor. Written in the form of a missed connections post on Craig’s List, the story intentionally uses misspellings and grammar mistakes to reflect the frantic nature of writing a post online.


Merging Story & Gameplay

Analyzing the Story Stack: Horizon: Zero Dawn | This analysis examines the various elements of the game, including Player Fantasy, Action, Economy, World, and Story. It then presents a thought experiment with alternative story concepts, assuming all the other elements remain the same.


Storytelling

Firecracker | Short Film (cowriter) | 7 minutes — A young woman learns the true meaning of independence day. As part of a challenge, this entire short film was written, produced, edited, and submitted in under 48 hours. I participated in breaking the story and cowriting the script, as well as helping to provide support and rewrites during production.

How Bluebeard Ends | Short Story published in Corvid Queen | 2,000 words — Based on a classic fairy tale, this story considers the possibilities of the protagonist making a different choice. Each segment represents a different possible ending to the story.

A Dream of This Life | Short Story published in Luna Station Quarterly | 3,000 words — A dark noir science fiction tale, in which an insomniac searches for someone to buy her dreams.
